Dropping the Dollar Online - Tuesday, July 25
Not too many places can boast a really great buying experience on the web. There's thousands out there that do it, but very few who do it really well. Shopping for me is a really social experience which is why I love to window shop on Sundays, drop by a few of my favourite places, chat with the store clerks, flirt with the cute ones; you know an experience. Anyways, here's one place I've enjoyed taking a tour around and found their offerings quite nice, Shop Composition. A modern store committed to good design, still need to stop by the next time I find myself in Denver, Colorado.
Fucking Smashing - Monday, July 24
Heat indexes that is. For the 11th straight day in a row San Jose has recorded temperatures over 90. This heat wave is breaking records set like 10+ years ago. Lovin really, except for the sleeping part of it, a bit on the hot side.
In the front row - Friday, July 21
Yup, not only am I in the front seat, I'm driving this thing called; my life. Waking up this morning I realized that it was just me. + my thoughts running through my brain. Not that I was expecting anyone else or hoping for anyone else, just waking up to the fact that I walk alone these days. Weeks flying by due to the fact I've been super busy with work and trying to carve out this new reality for myself.

Oh, so by the way, yeah! I love it. Living my life is a fucking dream. So lucky to be doing what I love, living in place that's really growing on me, having freedom to travel, meet with new friends, explore fresh places and be able to experience 'the good life'. I am thankful for everyone and everything in my life. I realize that someday we all must die. + someday could be right around the corner.

The best advice anyone has ever given to me is 'Be Here. Be Now. Live in the moment.'

This frame of mind not only helps you through the difficult times, it also allows you to completely enjoy the best times.

Take this for what it's worth, me passing along some advice. Enjoy your Friday + the weekend. Think positive thoughts and create good vibes. Remember to connect with your community, friends and family. See you soon.

- Friday, July 14
The photography of Jean-Francois Lepage, some really beautiful works in the vein of fashion. Also on the link tip for today, if you've been following the latest in mashup trends Weather Bonk is pretty nice for those interested in keeping tabs on the weather. And if you're into some comedic relief right about now, check the VH1 spoofs on 'Hi, I'm a Mac and I'm a PC', great stuff.
Ah yes, weekend coming
And just when I thought I wasn't gonna make to the next weekend, BAMM, it's Friday. With Santa Cruz being just in my backyard I'll probably be spending some time in the water on Saturday and Sunday, can't wait. Water has been cold and the waves small, but ya just can't beat the weather. Check Surf Style for some great book refs as well as making sure to check the link in the lower right for some great Rare 70s Surf Footage.
Straight Up July - Thursday, July 13
As the feeling of summer progresses and the middle of July is just around the corner I'm out wandering northern California in search of sun. Thankfully, all I have to do is walk out the door and I've found it. The weather couldn't get any better. Reeling in my choice to live in the sunny Silicon Valley.

At the moment most of my time and energy is being focused on my daily digital realm in Cupertino, while trying to stay up late into the nights and continue creating photo galleries. Although, most nights find me waking up fully clothed in a dark room filled only with my bed and the cold-blue glow of my powerbook's screen.

Speaking of sun. Heading out that way now....
Deutschland Fußball - Monday, July 10
A very respectable 3rd place finish in this latest World Cup. Watching most of the games this year I can fully say, with confidence, that Germany took part in many phenomenal games and proved that playing as a team may not always result in a win, but when it does it's so sweet. As for yesterday's game, well.... the better team did end up with the Cup, but... wasn't even close to being the best game of the whole tournament.

Cheers to the Italians staking claim to being true World Champions. It's sad to see the festivities come to a close... all good events need to have an ending, just seemed to be over so quickly. I still believe the World Cup is the greatest sporting event on the planet, can't wait for 2010 in South Africa.
Journey - Monday, July 3
As my reality continues to shift and create itself all over again I've been doing lots of thinking, contemplating, exploring, feeling and writing.... most of it confined to my personal journal. One thing that I've come to realize through reading the illuminated texts created by Paulo Coelho + meditation is that; one true experience of freedom is to have the most important thing in my world without owning it.

Through realizing this, one simple thought that has helped me get through my current state is; no one really ever loses anyone, as we never own anyone.
Oregon Chill
As America celebrates its Independence Day and the rest of the world watches on as the World Cup action continues to stay heated, I've managed to escape San Jose and head up to my former stomping grounds for peace of mind, some great outdoor living, a little barb e que, and some quality time with those I love. A little sampling of what the northern neighbor to California has to offer, a hike with an amazing woman, surrounded by beauty.
More of what's new.
