French and Icelandic photos - Monday, February 21
Pascal Fellonneau, a French photographer, just sent me an email about some photos he has recently posted. Of course I had to take a look immediately. I'm so glad I did. Wow. Some beautiful shots of Iceland, a Christmas tree study and lots of great shots from Meriadeck, district in Bordeaux, France. He also has another site for just photographs taken around Iceland. Inspirational stuff for sure. Makes me want to hop a plane heading east immediately. See you there.
Name change
Quick, update your links to the new A Day in the Life which has been renamed to Scene From My Life. Seems there was some sort of trademark on that name previous to the site going up. Anyways, it's back and it's still a great place to check out what's happening in other people's lives around the world. Tune in and participate.
Spinning Kitty - Friday, February 11
The EDG hooked me up with this great link to the winner of the Fatboy Slim video contest. Meow.
Auto-inspired - Tuesday, February 8
Some beautiful photography out there in the manuals this year. I've always been into Olaf Hausshculz's style of capturing cars of note. His portfolio is up at Marge Casey + Associates. Check the automotive section and look for his name. I especially like his stuff with the Porsche, frames 3 and 9 of 11.
Some 4wheel action
Last week I had a chance to check out the 2005 Auto Show and see the most of the new designs coming out soon. Was super impressed by Jaguar's new sport coupe; the xk, especially stunning in black. The BMW M3 has some pretty nice lines as well.
Around Asia
Ashley Pon spends much or her time traveling to small villages around Taiwan, capturing images that portray the life and culture of the Taiwanese people. She occasionally travels overseas on assignment, mostly within Asia. Her site was cleanly put together by Greg Smith who has a done a great job of presenting the photographs.
More of what's new.
