Yea, yea, yea - Monday, August 23
Lots of excitement happening around the planet this week. The
Olympics are in full swing, have had a chance to check out a few of the events, but without a television, coverage is limited. The
OrbView-3 satellite has been shooting some amazing images of Athens, and beautiful shots of the Fiji Islands. The
Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney Australia has got a fresh web presence. In other art news, apparently some fucked art theives have stolen some of
Edvard Munch's work, namely his 'The Scream', from a museum in Oslo, Norway.
RawFoods Festival - Thursday, August 19
Just arriving back from NYC and spending some time prepping for this year's festival.
SmartMonkey Foods will be in the spotlight and ready to perform. Ani and myself are recent authors, having just got off the press a copy of the first edition: 'SmartMonkey Foods, The Art of Raw'. The book looks amazing and truly is 'blueprint' style, photos, recipes and some background on how to prepare some tasty dishes. We had a book release party last night, which also served as a kick-off to the festival.
Tonya Kay graced us all with a few solid performances. I could go on for days about how great Tonya is, but I'll save that for special 'just about Tonya' post. Also a number of other talented individuals made an appearance last night and was a great way to reconnect with everyone. DJ MartiniBomb was on hand and cranked out some beautifully savvy tracks. Now let's go party.
