Heading to NYC - Tuesday, July 27
On a jet plane. I'm leaving. I'll be in NYC this coming Thursday for 5days. Lots of things planned. Good friends to see. Fabulous food to eat. Maybe squeeze in a museum visit or two.
Typical Technology - Wednesday, July 21
Are you serious? It's been how long since Apple has released the iPod and after finally deciding to get my partner one for her birthday, they decide to release yet another version. Which, of course, is better, faster and smaller. Plus $100 cheaper. What hasn't changed in the world of technology? Thankfully my days of recent have not been spent focusing on technology. A passion for techonology will always exist, but the lust for the newest, shiniest and fastest is coming to an end. I am getting rid of all the excessive objects that seem to clutter my studio and my life. Goodbye mister 17inch monitor that hasn't been plugged in for 2years and cya G4 tower collecting dust in the corner. It's summer time and time for a serious purge.
Birthday Weekend - Friday, July 16
Wow, what a week. Ani's birthday party is tonight and it's been a long week of planning, organizing and getting everything ready. Not mention that I've been working a ton inbetween. Transistioning from lots of work in LosAngeles and SF to work mainly in Portland. That makes me smile in the mornings. For a long time my Monday morning commute was waking at 4am, jumping into a cab and heading to the airport. Portland to LosAngeles aboard Alaska Airlines. A cab from LAX to the studio in El Segundo and ten hours later or so passing out in my quaint suite at the Radisson. It's good to be walking to the studio these past days.
And Now it's July - Wednesday, July 7
Ending the first week in July and I've barely had a chance to realize that 2004 is zipping on by. I've been shooting a lot with a Nikon D100 and playing with lots of documentary photo ideas. Been trying to post up some the recent stuff, but still working the kinks out of most of them. Now that I'm working in the world of print I tend to put off the web work, but hey at least it's in the can so to speak. As my energy returns (from 6days of water fasting) things will pick up as normal.
SmartMonkey Foods On Track - Thursday, July 1
I haven't mentioned SmartMonkey Foods here in awhile, but wanted to post up the fact that, 'Yes, we are continually moving.' Now our Carob Brownie Bites are available in San Francisco at Rainbow Grocery in the mission, check the bakery section. Also be sure to keep tabs on the
