As we continue to travel up and down the west coast, I'm currently in Los Angeles. Although I walk about 3.5miles to the studio, I'm staying as close to LAX as possible. Just across the street, I'm
staying at this hotel. I'm also flying every week on Monday and Friday, sometimes more. So far this summer I've found the nicest weather in Portlland, ironic since Los Angeles is supposed to be sunny everyday. I guess June is know as 'June Gloom' in LA. And as far as San Francisco, well it's been nice, but still not hot.
Max tells me that Oakland has been sunny and warm.

QuarkXPress 6 is built for Mac OS X. Finally, now we are one step closer to getting rid of the old OS9. Working mostly in OS X, it's such a pain to switch back just to use Quark. Not shipping yet, but I'm sure they will be soon. Damn, I guess I haven't bought a copy of QuarkXPress lately: US$1045.00 !? Apparently, Apple is selling the app from their online store
here.
What is reality? and what is real?
Shocker of the week.
Egypt bans 'too religious' Matrix. Apparently, because of its violence and 'religious themes', the movie has not been playing in the country. I know from first hand experience that their censorship board has a reputation of being very strict. Ruling with a very stern hand, the government screens everything coming in the country – luggage, freight, mail, and the internet. Mostly for pornography. Computers we brought over were all confiscated, a few of them took weeks until they returned, after they were sure nothing illegal was being transported. I know the Matrix has yet to be filled with porn, yet some of the ideas expressed through the movie may just cause social uproar. Banning a movie which questions existence and creation, would this be a glitch in the Matrix?
Decibel Dragon and SmartMonkey have been really busy lately, finding a new home. Posting may be a bit slower than usual, but will continue as much as possible. We are all hoping by the end of the month we will have a new space!! If you've ever purchased a building then you must know how much work it is, and how many decisions you need to make. Can't wait to find out if the place will be ours!?
Cars let us go where we want, when we want, how we want – they reflect our desires as they answer our needs. Cars are at the crossroads of contemporary art, style, business and society. The car has begun its greatest period of change since the birth of mass production a century ago.
Intersection Magazine provides the context to help us see where we’re going.
