Every day we look at pictures - in our local paper, on the Internet, in magazines. We often take the power of photography for granted, until we see a picture so moving or unique that it haunts us for days. MSNBC is now hosting The Public's Best Picture of the Year Award.. Worth a look.

This little video clip is one of the funniest things I've seen lately, that is besides Ali G. Poor pussy.

Living in Monrovia, California Eric Schmidt attended Art Center College of Design and has since shot some amazing scenic photographs. He likes to get up close and person with people as well.

Russ Quackenbush has created quite an array of outstanding work. Don't miss his personal work collection, some beautiful images capturing the human element. He's also worked with some excellent art directors to put together a seriously impressive collection of campaign work. I especially like the VW, Adidas and Polaroid work.

If you're heading to LasVegas anytime soon be sure to read up on Michael Henderson's dream of a lunar-themed megahotel. Sounds like a killer idea to me. Moon Resort and Casino. Because you've been everywhere else.

This is a great example of why you shouldn't diss analog. The Sigma SD9, a high-def digital SLR. This camera produces some seriously sweet images.

SmartMonkey Foods had their first dining experience event last night!! It was a huge success!! If you're ever in Portland you need to look them up and eat some of the best food on the planet.
