My very amazing friend, Ronan is here in Santa Monica visiting from Kaui, Hawaii. Great to reconnect and spend time together.

I just recieved some great holiday wishes from Meesang over at Rabbit in the Mars, thank you and enjoy the new year!!

It's only about 2weeks away and I'm not actually sure what to do for my birthday this year?? My plans thus far are to visit some friends in London for a week and then stay in Sweden with friends for the following week. I would love to get a chance to visit Sweden for awhile, have not been there yet and I have a feeling I would really love making photographs around Stockholm, a very beautiful city. Today is the day I book my tickets, or at least I should book them. The only thing is I wish I was going back to the southern hemisphere like last year, when I stayed in Fiji and Australia for a month. It was amazing.

Wandering around these days with a fog in my brain, can't seem to focus these last few days. Maybe it's all the stimulation of late, some great contests and festivals coming up: Digifest, DIK tshirt contest, and also D-EXPOSURE.

It was great hanging out with Mat from Newstoday the other day, love the Newstoday crew and the site is great place to stay connected.

Oregon's got some talented glass-blowers around, this place has some serious inventory!!

Back now in sunny Santa Monica, it might still be cold but the sun is shining. Portland was beautiful as always, I miss my family already. Everyone is doing great and even got to see some family from New York while there. Hung out under the Burnside Bridge, in the Pearl District and also Hawthorne Blvd. Great trip, good to be back.

Don't forget about the next Fresh Conference coming up soon in Singapore.

Going back through some older books, I pulled this one out again, pretty sweet for all Wipeout fans.

Looking good up on Mount Hood, 104inch base!!

Today I leave for Portland, Oregon. A quick trip to the northwest to see my family and get away from sunny socal and into winter temps and snow!! Oh yea, surprising my mother on her birthday, it's going to be really nice!!

Let me tell ya, life changes in the blink of an eye. I've been busy all week with searching for a new space to live and work. Moving away from the typical apartment situation and into a sweet live/work artist loft. All of this change by the first of the year. A stepping stone in saving more money, and getting my ass a bit closer to Sydney, Australia.

So, clear your calendars for the afternoon, go grab a fresh cup of java and enjoy the work of the following artists.

I have been really upset since the closing of the Napster servers, I used to spend days searching and downloading. Are we ever going to see a return of that same community?? There have been a few new players in this arena: Aimster, Gnutella and SpinFrenzy. Are any of these ever going to step-up and replace the ancient Napster community??

The crew over at prepublic are looking for submissions for their magazine debut, published bi-montly in pdf format. This project definitely has potential!!

Damn. Weworkforthem has launched the full version of their site, and I must say their work is simply amazing. Check out the print section, it's a must-see for sure. Fabulous site, cheers WWFT.
More of what's new.
